Promoting the Well Being of Children through Casework Visits

Visiting is how case workers ensure children are safe and that their evolving needs are being met. All programs are now held accountable for meeting specified outcomes which requires the field to learn new and better positive outcomes for children and families.  Through a review of the Children & Family Services Review (CFSR) requirements for child well being, this training will focus on well being primarily from the perspective case worker visits to children.

The participant will become skilled through the use of a case study and a self assessment tool.

After attending this workshop, the participants will realize and value the:

  • CFSR Outcomes For Well-Being 1
  • Difference Between Compliance Vs. Outcome
  • 3 Major Categories of Well-Being.
  • Importance Of Documentation and Assessment In Visitation
  • Components Of A Quality Visits
  • Use Of A Self Check Tool
